HOW TO CUT LEATHER ?

CUTTING TIPS FOR GENUINE LEATHERS
leather is nature’s product and caution must be exercised in cutting it. The diagrams shows varius areas of a hide and they can be cut as follows:
Section A is the prime portion of a hide, inc ase of soft furniture this part is used to cut seat tops, inside baks, cushion bands and other sections that will receive the most strain and usage of flexing.
Section B in case of soft furniture is used for outside arms, backs, hidden bands or any other parts of the furniture that receives little or no flexing, the flanks sections should be used on outside backs and nonwearing surfaces in order to avoid trouble.
Flanks Fibers run generally in one direction as indicated by the arrow a stretch at right angles to the direction of the arrow may cause the finish to crack.

MY SAMPLE DOSENT LOOK LIKE THE ONE ON THIS WEBSITE WHY ?

It may be that the calibration of your computer screen is causing the colors to be displayed incorrectly. Or, it may be the result of dye lot variation. Also, variation in texture can be found throughout the hide of some leathers, resulting in large grain near the edge and smaller grain in the center. A sample should never be considered an exact snapshot of the entire hide.

IS COLOR VARIATIONS NORMAL ?
Color variations and difference in the structure are typical and may occur in this natural product, even inside of one dylot of aniline leather, waxed, oiled leather there can be changes of color.

HOW TO CLEAN LEATHER ?

mOST OF OUR LEATHERS ARE TREATED WITH WATER AND STAIN REPELLENT DYED INTO THE LEATHER . Genuine leather requires very little care. Dust it regulary, aminor spot can be washed off. Use lukewarm water and mild soap, but nothing abrasive. Work up some suds and go over the surface with cheesecloth or a turkish towel. Rinse off any soap film with clean wather and toweling. It may dry dull, but normal gloss can be restored by rubbing with clean toweling. these instructions apply to finished leathers only. Not to any suede, aniline, wax and oiled leathers. Never use furniture polish, oil, varnish or ammonia.
